PROGRAMS
A place to start. Somewhere to go next.

K-5 ⋅ HAPPENING NOW
Bike Bus
A Bike Bus is exactly what it sounds like: a group of kids riding their bikes to school together, with adult volunteers helping lead the way.
It gives kids a chance to start the day moving, spend time with friends, become more confident on a bike, and build a little more independence along the way.
Our Liberty Lake Bike Bus is free for families with Friday morning rides beginning Sept 4th from Rocky Hill Park.
GRADES 6-9 ⋅ LAUNCHING 2027
Youth Cycling
In 2027, Cycling On Purpose will be launching a small, non-competitive Youth Cycling program for students in grades 6–9.
Riders will build bike-handling skills, learn to ride safely in a group, make new friends, and gradually train toward a meaningful cycling challenge.
Because a sixth grader and a ninth grader aren’t at the same place physically or developmentally, the founding program will include two different pathways:
Grades 6–7: primarily building toward a 25-mile capstone ride
Grades 8–9: primarily building toward a 50-mile capstone ride
The goal isn’t to create elite cyclists. It’s to help kids discover what they’re capable of, build confidence and resilience, and learn how much farther they can go together.

GRADES 10–12 · THE PATH AHEAD
Challenge Becomes Leadership
Our long-term vision is to give kids a reason to keep riding all the way through high school.
As the program grows, grades 10–11 will take on longer rides, bigger goals, and greater responsibility. By grade 12, riders will have opportunities to mentor younger cyclists while pursuing a meaningful challenge of their own.
We’ll build these stages gradually as the younger program grows. We’d rather build each level well than create programs simply to fill every age group.
GRADES 10-11
Bigger Challenges
Longer rides. Bigger goals.
Greater independence, teamwork, and responsibility.
GRADE 12
Lead the Next Riders
Mentor younger cyclists while pursuing a meaningful final cycling challenge of their own.
A place to start. Somewhere to go next.
Whether it’s a first Bike Bus ride or training toward a 50-mile challenge, we want kids to have something worth working toward, and people to do it with.
