Registration FAQs
What is the Event?
The Finish Strong (On Purpose) Challenge is an online-based cycling challenge that will start on November 29th and end on December 31st. Why wait for the new year to start acting on your goal of getting back in shape or exercising?
The purpose of this event is to raise money for Cycling On Purpose and our mission of raising awareness of youth mental health crisis and provide resources to aid in prevention of and dealing with mental health challenges.
When you create your profile, you will set mileage and fund-raising goals for that time period.
Given the time of year it's taking place, some people will be logging miles on indoor bikes like a Peloton or, if they live in a warmer place, outdoors on their bicycles.
What's the Registration Fee?
Registration will cost $25 and all registrants who raise $100 in donations will receive a Cycling On Purpose cycling cap by Primal Wear that will be perfect for indoor rides all winter long.
Are Donations Tax Deductible?
Yes. Cycling On Purpose is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our Federal EIN is 99-4873725.
How Will My Miles Be Tracked?
Our platform will sync with Strava, Fitbit or other similar activity-tracking apps and will import your riding activity directly into the platform. You can also manually enter your miles.
What are Some Common Goals?
When it comes to miles, some common goals can range from 50 to 500 miles. Fundraising goals are up to you, but recommended goals are $200, $500, $1,000, and $2,000+.
How Will the Money That's Raised Be Used?
The money raised from this event will fund future awareness campaigns, such as the 2025 Resilience Ride event, a cross-country ride to raise awareness around the youth mental health crisis, happening next July (2025). The money raised from this event will also be used in other awareness campaigns and grants distributed at the end of 2025.
