Why This Matters Right Now
Kids today are struggling with anxiety, disconnection, and overwhelm. Screens have replaced movement. Social media has replaced real-world purpose. And nature—one of the most powerful mental health tools we have—has taken a back seat in children’s lives.
Cycling On Purpose is changing that.
We help kids reconnect with movement, the outdoors, and themselves through simple, powerful programs that build confidence and resilience—one ride, one experience, one moment of awe at a time.

The Ride That Sparked a Movement
Last summer, I rode my bike more than 2,800 miles from Washington to Indianapolis to shine a light on the youth mental health crisis and to honor my cousin Brent, who loved cycling and believed deeply in the power of purpose.
Along the way, I met kids, parents, educators, and community leaders who all shared the same concern. Kids are struggling with anxiety, disconnection, and a loss of confidence. I also saw how simple things like riding a bike, being outside, and doing something meaningful together could start to turn that around.
That journey became the foundation for Cycling On Purpose. It confirmed that movement, nature, and purpose are not extras for kids. They are essentials.
Watch this short video from the ride to see some of the moments, faces, and places that inspired this work. If it resonates, I invite you to help fuel what comes next by supporting our programs for kids and families.
